Finding Your New Phone

Finding a new phone can be very frustrating and the research for the phone can be extremely annoying, especially when shopping online. Personally I like shopping online better than searching around in a store for your product, but it is only better when you have the right resources and correct reviews to look at, especially when buying a new phone. With so many new phones that come out every year its almost overwhelming and it seems like a hard thing to keep up with. Sure you can always look at the reviews on your company's website, but people always have different experiences and it is not a very accurate way of picking out your phone that you are stuck with for another 2 years. When its time for an upgrade searching for a new phone is no joke, and is why you cannot trust those select few who post their reviews on a website. So I gathered information, details, and specs on the top rated phones on the market right now and took their averages of their reviews and scores to create this helpful list. The phones listed below are the top phones on the market and are continuing to amaze the users and make editor's drop their jaws. With technology getting better and better I try to think to myself what will come out next? Cell phones are starting to be hard to stay up to date with due to all this technology, and I am hoping this list makes it a whole lot easier for you to pick out your next Verizon phone.

Messaging and and e-mail are installed into the phone also with many options that make it easy for the user to create personal settings and make things go quickly and with ease. To top it all off this phone is all touch screen, giving it its ability to make projects easy with your phone. There has always been a problem with touch screen phones these days, which is the keys are to small to text on. But, with this essentially rebranded HTC Hero this texting problem doesn't seem to exist.

The reviews for this phone according to cnet.com were outstanding. Online I tired to find reviews that were rated lower than 4 and it was a pretty hard task, but almost everyone had positive reviews .Both the cnet editors and the average user rating gave this phone 4 stars. The editors gave the phone the so called "the good" review saying, " The HTC Droid Eris offers a slim design, plentiful features, and satisfying performance. It also has pinch and zoom multitouch". People seem to love this phone and is why it made this list.

LG Env Touch

This touch screen phone was a surprise to everyone because many phones are just like this and it doesn't seem to be any different than the LG Voyager. Even though the market has started to flood with touch screens the Env Touch is still standing strong due to the design appeal of the this sleek phone. Thin seems to be the in thing right now and with a .66 inch thickness this phone is in. the stylish look comes from the popular phones LG Dare and the LG Versa, with a solid feel and durability. While like the Voyager this phone has a touch screen dominating the front portion of the phone recording at 3 inches diagonally. But that's just the outside, with all the cool gadgets in the front of the phone you forget that it flips up with a keyboard underneath making it one of, if not, the best texting phone. I highly recommend this phone to teenagers that are looking for that sleek phone that is great for texting. Additional applications the phone come with is email, Internet browsing, camera, vibrating alert, speakerphone, caller id, voice recorder, conference call capability, call timer, voice dialing, and my personal favorite polyphonic ringer.

Now lets get to the phone reviews. According to cnet.com the cnet editor's rating of this phone is a 4 out of 5 and the the average user rating is a 4 1/2. One person that gave the phone 5 stars on December 4 said, "this is by far the greatest phone I've ever had". That pretty much sums up my explanation here.

Rim Blackberry Tour

The Rim Blackberry Tour has finally hit the market and it hit it hard. This phone is the replacement for the Rim Blackberry World Tour has improvements in its design, performance, and features. Said as "one of the strongest smartphone offerings from Verizon Wireless" this phone has been redesigned using the envious phones, the Blackberry Curve and the Blackberry Bold. These two phones are arguably two of the best phones to ever hit the cell phone market so with them combined you know the Tour will be a great phone. The 2.4 inch screen and its durability are also great additions to the resume. Personally I love that durable, solid feel on a phone and boy does this phone give it to you. The design isn't the only thing this phone is known for, as a matter of fact this phone is most widely known for its performance. The tour has the ability to send text messages, emails, and browse the Internet like you were sitting at your home computer. It also has the capability to call to 220 countries and has data coverage, which is emails and Internet, in 175 countries. This phone really impressed me with its fast performance and is highly recommended to active users on their phone. Most people look for the features in a phone, and this phone has them. It is capable of its high performance due to the dual-band CDMA and quad-band GSM networks. The tour also includes features such as speakerphone, voice-activated dialing, 3.2 mega pixel camera, GPS, bluetooth, smart dialing, conference calling, speed dial, text, and multimedia messaging.

Reviews according to cnet.com include a 4 out of 5 by editors and a 3 1/2 by users. Users seem to love this phone except for the small problem that the battery-life is short. With its high performance and special features it was not surprising when someone said, "Fantastic Smartphone! Far exceeded by expectations."

Samsung Omina II

With successful touch screen phones such as the Eris and Env Touch, this phone is overlooked and not appreciated as much as it should be. Many people think this phone has waited to long to finally hit the market, but I guess all that time waiting for this phone was worth it because this phone is one of a kind. The design of this phone is remarkably clean, organized, and in style. Like the other phones listed above this phone has that solid feel with the durable factor built into it. Also with a touch screen measuring at 3.7 inches it stands out and users seem to love the bigger screen. It makes it easier to see what you are doing and text with the digital keypad. The Omina II is built in with a better feature in its design, it has a a AMOLED screen which give it the advantage over standard LCD screens because of its brighter picture, also using up less battery power. Compared to other touch screen phones the video and picture images look outstanding on the Omina II, according to cnet.com. Beneath the outside this phone continues to amaze users. The feature that stands out the most is its ability to allow the user to slide your fingers across the digital keyboard without interfering in spelling. It also automatically enters a space after you complete a word making texting the fastest its ever been and includes the ability to circling a key to put in a letter twice. This high tech texting phone is beyond our era, but soon will be a popular trend. The features in this phone contain Windows 6.5, which has a improved Internet explorer mobile and other interesting applications. On top of everything this phone is Included with Wi-Fi, 3G support, Bluetooth, and GPS how couldn't this phone be on the list.

HTC Imagio

A phone like the HTC Imagio has been awaited by cell phone users ever since a cell phone has been created. This phone stands out because it is the first smartphone to have V Cast, Mobile TV, and a live mobile television service. Like the Omina II this phone also holds Windows 6.5, but this phone was actually the first-ever to hold this application. Unlike the phones above, this phone is an original and has not been focused or formed around the concept of other phones. The design of the phone is composed of a large touch screen taking up the major area of the phone. It has that special industrial feel to the phone making it comfortable in your palm and giving it a solid feel as well. The sturdy construction of the Imagio, helps keep the user in mind that the phone is not cheap and will get the job done without breaking. The 3.6 inch screen attracts many users and helps in seeing images and the live television in a crisp clean way. The Imagio comes many outstanding features such as a 5.0 MP Camera, Windows Mobile® 6.5 OS, Wi–Fi Connectivity (802.11 b/g), 3.6" Touch Screen, Virtual QWERTY Keyboard, Removable Memory Capable (16GB), Microsoft® Office Mobile, V CAST Mobile TV compatible, V CAST Video capable, V CAST Music with Rhapsody Capable, VZ Navigator,Global Ready, and Mobile Broadband Connect capable.

The reviews for this phone were very good considering the fact that cnet.com gave the phone 4 out of 5 stars and the same with the users of the phone. On the Verizon website this phone received an average users rating of 3.6 because of the time it takes to get used to the phone. This phone will be the design for many upcoming phones in the future and I am extremely excited to see them.
